Getting stricter by A.J. Davenport

When you’re a teenager you think you’re grown because you can take care of yourself. And you simply don’t want to be told what to do. So for all of the upcoming administration I have advice for you. Because trying to keep a whole heap of teen in line isn’t easy at all.
Just because the students know right from wrong doesn’t mean that they will do what right. Students know that going to the restroom shouldn’t take any more than five minutes but the student at cedar take advantage of hallway passes. Next year there should be limited hallway passes per student, around two a week per class. To raise the amount of minutes students are in class. There should be strict rules on hallway passes immediately.
Another issue that should be dealt with is the tardies and absences. Every since they changed the policy from eight absences no credit student have been running wild with the amount of absences. If teacher notice that the same student isn’t showing up to class teacher should make a phone call home to ask the parents are they aware of these absences. So I suggest strict act on absences.
The last problem I should address is the smoking on government property. There have been a number of occasions were marijuana smoke and cigarette smoke has been fuming from the restroom. This is a major problem and should be handled immediately. Security should be on every wing of the school. It may sound drastic but this should help tremendously.
AS you can see the tides are starting to change. Someone has to bring cedar back to the original tradition it started with. And the upcoming administration has the power to change all of these problem surrounding cedar shoals. Here is the majority of the problem you have the power to change everything.

  1. I feel you on this AJ the students of Cedar Shoals really are taking advantage of this gratitude from the school. They really dont understand that priviledges can be taken away just like they are given, and they also dont understand that it still affects their grade and their relationship with their teacher.

  2. I agree with what you are saying but at the same time I feel like you can not say how stuednts are taking advantage of something especially when you are doing the same. I really agree with the smoking part though because its really something that nobody should be doing.
